1. Patient Registration
1. Bring your national ID card and contact the Outpatient Department (OPD) counter on the right hand side of the entrance.
2. The staff will proceed with the registration process and take your health assessment.
3. Our staff will kindly guide you to change into a hospital gown and explain the procedures of the examinations.

2. Screening with 3D digital mammography
The advantages :

The 3D mammogram is an imaging test that combines multiple breast X-rays to create a three-dimensional picture of the breast.

Images are electronically generated on a computer monitor, with a high-resolution display of over 5 million pixels. This makes it easier to see subtle differences and abnormalities within the breast tissue and diagnose cancer more accurately.

Has a lower amount of radiation exposure to the breast than any other conventional X-ray devices.

Images are captured to digital files instantaneously, and doctors can revise the results in no time.
Steps and Procedures

The technician will explain the procedures and help you position your posture; each breast will be examined one by one alternately.

Your breast is gradually pressed against the platform by a clear plastic plate and pressure is applied to create the most accurate imaging.

If you have a breast implant, you must inform the staff upon making the appointment.
Duration : 10 – 20 minutes
3. Screening with Digital 3D Ultrasound
The advantages :

Ultrasound of the breast with a digitalized 3D high resolution ultrasound is used to diagnose the overall structures of the breast as the patient lies down facing up.

This scan gives a complete coverage of the entire breast.

Steps and Procedures

The technician will explain the procedures and help you position your posture.

The radiologist will undress each side of the breast one at a time to evenly spread the gel before examination.

The radiologist will thoroughly examine with the probe over the breast and records the test.
Duration : 15 – 30 minutes
4. See your doctor
Once the results from mammogram and ultrasound test is obtained, you can hear the diagnosis from the venerable doctors on roster. If any abnormalities should occur, the doctor will reveal the diagnosis and advise further treatments such as:

Biopsy of the mass

Excision of the mass
-
Breast cancer surgery
